About Fire and Light

Fire and Light 2019

Start your New Year with a magical walk around the Helix, Home of the Kelpies.

The park will be transformed into an extraordinary spectacle of fire performances, interactive light installations, breath-taking puppetry, enchanting sculptures, and animated projections depicting the zodiac signs. Let the good fortunes guide you on this 4km journey past enchanted lagoons, amongst fiery sculptures and through mystical everglades as you wander through the park to the Kelpies, the world's largest equine sculptures.

There will be marshmallow toasting on open fires, steaming hot cups of coco and winter warming foods along the way. Fortune tellers are sitting amongst the star signs waiting to tell you your future. What do the cosmic fortunes have in store for you?

This illuminated, magical outdoor experience will feature multiple newly commissioned installations by five Scottish artists. Each zodiac sign is uniquely made to reflect their unique characteristics as they sit amongst their elements: air, earth, fire and water.
