This learning course aims to explore how to attract a range of people to volunteering, to identify suitable roles and recruitment methods, and to preapre for placing volunteers in their chosen roles.
By the end of this course participants will have:
• Defined volunteer roles and developed role profiles.
• Explored methods for promoting volunteering.
• Produced a volunteer recruitment plan.
• Demonstrated methods for matching volunteers to suitable roles.
• Recorded an action plan to recruit and place volunteers.
What to bring with you - Pre course; participants should bring to the course information that they use to promote volunteering, e.g. fliers, leaflets, advertisements and information about the types of volunteering roles they can provide.
Trainer details - Elizabeth has many years of experience facilitating learning, community development and managing volunteers and projects. Having worked with national and local organisations Elizabeth has managed projects where involving the community has been paramount. Elizabeth currently works as a freelance consultant sharing her experience and knowledge with others to develop and support community involvement and manage of projects in volunteering. Elizabeth has successfully faciliated learning about volunteering management across Scotland and aims to help others to develop and engage effectively with communities.
