This learning course aims to explore a range of challenging situations that arise or may arise in the volunteering setting.

By the end of this course participants will have:

• Interpreted the challenges that may arise in managing volunteers.

• Identified good practice to manage challenging volunteers.

• Explore solutions that will help to support volunteers.

• Developed an action plan to deal with challenging volunteer situations.

What to bring with you - a copy of your volunteering policy and volunteering handbook , draft or final copies will be useful.

Trainer details - Elizabeth has many years of experience facilitating learning, community development and managing volunteers and projects. Having worked with national and local organisations Elizabeth has managed projects where involving the community has been paramount. Elizabeth currently works as a freelance consultant sharing her experience and knowledge with others to develop and support community involvement and manage of projects in volunteering. Elizabeth has successfully faciliated learning about volunteering management across Scotland and aims to help others to develop and engage effectively with communities.
