A Spectacular Evening of Music and Song

After its inaugural outing in 2016, the Stirling Bridge International Arts Festival goes from strength to strength with choral concert bursting with energy and excitement from Europe, the USA and Scotland.

The first time the festival has come to the Albert Halls, this is a performance not to be missed with 4 different groups each bringing their unique sound and style:

De Piccolo’s from Neerpelt, Belgium are a children and youth choir organisation from Neerpelt in Belgium. Formed in 1993 they now number around 110 choristers split in to 3 different choirs. They have toured extensively and been the recipient of numerous choral awards. Conductor: Philipp Baeken

Lübecker Knabenkantorei come from Lübeck in northern Germany and are celebrating their 70th Anniversary in 2018. They are the cornerstone of all music in St Mary’s Cathedral performing to thousands of visitors from all over Germany and the World. They have toured extensively through Germany and Europe and are really looking forward to their time in Scotland in July. Director: Karl Hänsel

San Diego Children’s Choir from USA is a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing the children and youth of San Diego, ages 4-18, with the opportunity for artistic and personal growth through choral music education. Selected repertoire is drawn from all periods, representing many styles to enhance individual musical growth. Director: Ruthie Millgard

Stirling Gaelic Choir celebrates its 70th Anniversary in 2018 as well! Dedicated to the performance and promotion of Gaelic song, the choir has competed successfully at national competitions including the National Mod. Over the years the Choir has performed on radio for the BBC and on television for both the BBC and STV. Conductor: Catriona Lang

The night will culminate with all groups coming together to perform en masse; surely bringing the house down! A Concert Not To Be Missed!
