About Peloton Wheels - Women’s Cycling and Wellbeing Group

Peloton Wheels is an exciting new wellbeing initiative for women who’d like to come together to cycle in a supportive group, learn some basic bike maintenance and boost their self-confidence - both on and off the bike. The emphasis is very much on the social aspect of cycling - whatever your experience or ability - and self-confidence building during our café conversations in a safe, respectful space.

We’ll start with some cycling confidence-building led by Recyke-A-Bike’s qualified trainers, learning some basic bike maintenance and giving you the opportunity to try a selection of bikes if you can’t bring your own. You’ll also have the opportunity to have your own bike checked over by a mechanic before we set out for a leisurely trainer-led ride on local quiet roads and paths.
(Don't worry if you don't have a bike or a helmet - all equipment can be borrowed from Recyke-A-Bike at no additional cost).

We’ll finish by coming together in the café for conversation (and a cuppa), which will be facilitated by Jane, our wellbeing coach. This part of the session is just as important as the cycling as it gives us the opportunity to talk about how we felt during the ride, or about anything else that might come up, and helps us get to know each other a bit better by finishing the evening feeling heard and held in a supportive group.

We’ll meet again on the following three Monday evenings, but if you can’t manage to all four of these sessions just sign up and pay for the ones you can. Looking forward to seeing you for a cycle and chat soon!
