Perth Racecourse Family Day

About Perth Racecourse Family Day

With the school holidays now in full swing, enjoy a day out for the whole family at Perth Racecourse. The racecourse’s annual Family Raceday takes place on Sunday 15 July, and will feature a host of fantastic activities for the kids, as well as first class jump racing on the track.

A firm favourite in the racing calendar, Perth’s Family Raceday is the perfect day out for both families and racing enthusiasts alike. The Centre Course enclosure will once again be open for racegoers to park their cars. Right in the heart of the action, people can soak up the atmosphere and enjoy their own picnic or barbeque.

The Centre Course enclosure will also be home to a wide selection of free kid’s activities, with everything from bubble football and pony riding to laser quest and Segway’s - guaranteed to keep little ones entertained all day long.

Horse racing enthusiasts can watch the action unfold on the track and see the winners take home their prize in the Parade Ring. With £80,000 worth of prize money up for grabs across a competitive seven race card, it promises to be an exciting day.

Football lovers needn’t worry about missing the World Cup either, as Perth will be screening the nail biting final on the big screens between racing.

In the scenic parklands of Scone, Perth Racecourse is only an hour’s drive from Glasgow and Edinburgh and just 3 miles from Perth train station - so a great day out for the all the family couldn’t be easier to get to.

Gates open at 11.30, but organisers advise leaving in plenty of time if you’re driving into the Centre Course enclosure. Frequent, speedy shuttle buses from the train station to the racecourse will also be operating throughout the day. The first of seven races starts at 14.00 with the last race at 17.15.

Tickets cost £15 for Centre Course adult admission and Grandstand tickets are priced at £20. All kids go free.
