Stirling Walking the Marches

About Stirling Walking the Marches

Join us to celebrate our heritage Walking the Marches.

Be part of the 800 year old tradition of inspecting the city boundaries by joining in our parade, complete with Stirling’s own Bellman, pipe bands and medieval time travellers.

All are welcome!

We’re always looking for more people to join in our parade, if you’re part of a community group who would like to join in on the day to promote yourself, let us know. We would love to have you.

The Walking of the Marches here in Stirling dates at least back to 1611, however we know that the tradition of inspecting and protecting boundaries probably goes back as far as the 12th century and possibly earlier.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Stirling Walking the Marches are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
