Beginners Basket Making

About Beginners Basket Making

Learn how to make your very own willow basket! On this one day beginners basket making course you will make a traditional round willow basket using a variety of weaving techniques. We will begin the day by making a round base before adding stakes and additional weaves then finishing off with a border. By the end of the day you will have made your very own basket which you can take home with you.

Instructors details: Geoff Forrest has been working with willow for the past 20 years, beginning in traditional basket making before moving on to living willow installations and sculptures. He runs workshops in both the public and private sector working with schools, local authorities and individuals.

What to bring with you: Please bring a packed lunch. Tea and coffee will be provided as will all tools and materials.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Beginners Basket Making are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
