A Cumbernauld Theatre Company Production
Written by Gary McNair, Music by Brian James O’Sullivan
Out of the woodwork and into the real world
All Pinnochio has ever wanted is to be a real boy. But hold on…if he wants things, surely that means he has thoughts and feelings. And if he has thoughts and feelings, then doesn’t that mean he has a brain and a heart? And if he has all that, doesn’t that make him a real boy already?
He lives a fun and happy but very protected life with his wild and entertaining granny, Gepetta who wants to keep him safe and sheltered from the outside world.
Then one day, near Christmas, into his quiet little life, pops the kind, magical and outrageous Jemima Croquet, who becomes Pinocchio’s guide to the wonders of the world and introduces him to the joys of the universe – ice cream, play-parks, Nando’s. But with adventure comes great risk. Can Pinocchio learn the ways of the world and still make it home safe for Christmas with Gepetta?
Join Pinocchio on this raucous, silly and hugely entertaining journey. Sing along with him as he meets friends, old and new, and finds out what it means to be a real boy in this fun packed Festive show.
