Fields of Performance is a dynamic collection of works, ranging from intimate solos to collaborative pieces, in studio theatre settings, online and in public spaces around Glasgow. Experience the freshness and originality of a new wave of artists, ready to redefine the boundaries of performance on their own terms.
Dale Thrupp
All the world’s a stage,
so why must I pretend otherwise?
Art, Performance, Theatre, Life,
is it not all the same?
How can we begin to take ownership of our lives,
if all we’re told to be is a passive witness to it?
It’s time to reclaim the public stage, dismantle the illusion
and take the inside outside.
This is a participatory performance workshop, exploring the relationship between theatre and the natural world. It will involve moving between different locations and will travel into public spaces. It is advisable to check the weather forecast on the day and wear appropriate clothing.
No previous performance experience is necessary.
Purchase of a ticket is taken as consent to take part in the workshop.
Suitable for all ages.
Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
