Falconry has been around for a very long time, and it was particularly popular in the UK during the Medieval era. The team from Alba Falconry will be on site to provide an insight into the birds of prey used and the history of the sport.
As part of their static display, Alba Falconry will be bringing along some of the birds from their sanctuary, which includes Owls, Falcons, Hawks and Kestrels. This is a great visual activity where everyone can come and learn a bit more about one of the techniques for hunting used in Medieval times.
Alba Falconry will be located at the entrance level to the Monument and will be on site from 10am to 5pm on selected dates.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
