Get into the spirit of slow fashion using the ‘stitch don’t ditch’ approach. Get creative by darning your woolies in bright colours and patterns under the expert tuition of textile artist Johanna Flannigan, aka The Pale Rook. Ucycling and repairing is more than just about stitching, it is a philosophy, and a tool for future sustainability. By repairing our well loved woolies we can begin to break the cycle of fast fashion, saving old clothes from landfill, and saving ourselves money to boot! Visible mending is both a useful skill, and a therapeutic pastime, a soothing and repetitive task to help you relax and tune out the stresses of the day.
All materials and equipment are provided, however you are welcome to bring a garment of your own to mend any yarns you would like to incorporate into your work.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
