These workshop at Central Scotland School of Jewellery deep dives in to the decorative colouring of anodised aluminium which is perfect for jewellery making, sculpture and other craft projects.

This seasonal workshop deep dives in to the decorative colouring of aluminium which is perfect for jewellery making, sculpture and other craft projects. Working with warm, autumnal colours, students will learn about the anodising process and be introduced to a variety of fun and creative techniques which will include direct application using pens, rubber stamps and other easy to use materials. Dip dying techniques will also be shown, all of which will be tried out on pre-anodised sheets to create lots of colourful samples ready to turn into a cuff and earrings. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners and those with some experience who wish to experiment further. A colourful day to celebrate the changing of the seasons!
What to bring: We'll provide all the things you will need to start your aluminium journey! Please bring along glasses if you need them and wear appropriate clothing for a studio environment including closed-toe shoes. If you have long hair please wear it up and masks are mandatory.
Lunch is not provided but you can bring lunch to eat at the studio or we can advise you of nearby places to buy food.
