Level: Beginners
Join us for a skill-packed one day introduction to jewellery making and use foraged beach treasure and precious metals to create your own silver and sea glass charms. We’ll begin by working in copper as we experiment with textures using our vast collection of hammers, punches, and everyones favourite, the rolling mill. We’ll learn how to use a jewellers saw to pierce shapes from your textured metal, and when you’re happy with your design you’ll move on to make a small collection of charms in silver.
To finish off your beautiful charm clusters we’ll show you how to safely drill your pieces of sea glass using special drill bits, and how to use jump rings and findings to incorporate these into your design. And don’t worry if you haven’t been out foraging on the beach, we’ve got a huge collection of sea glass in the studio for you to choose from.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
