Follow our expert guides as they trace the events of Scotland’s most famous battle. Walk in the footsteps of Robert the Bruce and Edward II as they made their battle plans - see where Bruce set his traps and where Edward crossed the Bannockburn in his attempt to get to Stirling Castle. Learn about the significance of the surrounding landscape and examine the terrain where the two armies fought to decide the fate of Scotland.
Tour will last approximately 4 hours and participants will be walking for the duration. Suitable fitness level and appropriate clothing will be required.
This event is part of the Exploring Bannockburn Series. Events will be running at various venues from the 22nd to the 25th of June 2023 to commemorate 709th anniversary of the Battle of Bannockburn.
