Treelore

Learn about the trees surrounding us on this one-day workshop run by Green Aspirations Scotland CIC.

Treelore

About Treelore

Most of us know some tree names and can identify some leaf shapes. But there is so much more to identifying trees and understanding why they're the shape they are.

We'll look at different ways to identify trees from their bark, buds, leaves and even their profile. We'll also explore the many ways humans have interacted with and used trees and woodland, looking at food, materials and medicines. During the day we'll make a collection of field notes and compile them into a notebook to record what you've learned.
