Once you have used one, you'll know why you need one! Join us for a weekend course to make your own steed. The course covers timber selection, tools required and techniques to make a swinging frame shave horse.
We will shape the base, make and fit legs, and select curved timber for the frame. We'll also use the pole lathe to turn the foot rest and top grip. At the end of the weekend, you will have your own shave horse to take away with you. Get ready to expand your woodworking horizons!
The workshop takes place over 2 days - running around 10am to 4pm each day. All tools and materials are included in the ticket price. Attendees are welcome to camp onsite for free. Tea and coffee are provided throughout the event but please bring your own food. You are welcome to cook over the fire.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
