About Garden Mosaic
Join local mosaic artist Rhona Duffy for a two-day garden mosaic workshop. You’ll create a mixed-mosaic garden panel (approximately 30cm x 30cm or 40cm x 20cm) and a mixed-mosaic on slate, using a mix of coloured glass and reclaimed materials.
Choose your own design – it can be anything that inspires you… a house number, a favourite flower, an initial or something else – you choose!
Bring along a sketch or a photo and we’ll help you translate it into a motif to work from. You’ll learn everything you need to know to create your mosaic, including sourcing materials, the tools you need and how to use them, cutting materials (glass / tiles / ceramics), preparing bases and adding fixings, adhesives you can use, and how to grout your mosaic. You’ll grout your mosaics on the second day (or you can take away the grout and and instructional video to do it at home). All materials and use of tools are included in the cost.
