This new series of workshops from local textiles artist Audrey is perfect for giving something new a go, learning a new skill, and meeting others passionate about creativity and sustainability…
Printing - 12th July, 10.30am - 1pm - Book Here
Felting - 19th July, 10.30am - 1pm Here
Embroidery - 26th July, 10.30am - 1pm Here
Remember to book in for all the sessions you want to come to - the first 2 sessions lead on well to the big embroidery finale!
Over the 3 weeks we'll learn:
• Printing - Discover simple ways of transferring colour and pattern onto surfaces. No specialist artistic skills required, hopefully you will love the results.
• Felting - Let's keep going making our own surfaces, this is relaxing and fun! Honest. We'll be dry felting using reclaimed wool and other materials to create a new piece of art.
• Stitching - Using the surfaces you made in week one and two, you'll learn how to add stitches, applique or decoration to create an original piece - or maybe even two!
"Enjoy these classes to build confidence and encourage creativity."
What is Stirling Reuse Hub?
Stirling Reuse Hub is an exciting space in the Springkerse area of Stirling, where items and materials are rescued from going to waste. The Makerspace of the Stirling Reuse Hub is where items are upcycled and re-made by our team of local makers. At the Reuse Hub we have found that our workshops and volunteering opportunities provide people with a sense of purpose and an opportunity to form friendships.
Please let us know if you can no longer attend, so your spot can be offered to someone else. Please cancel at least 48 hours before the workshop date by contact reuse@transitionstirling.org.uk or calling the Hub during opening hours at 01786 643396.
