Write Here, Write Now

About Write Here, Write Now

This is a time and space to work on your writing and connect with other writers. It will cater for all stages of interest and experience in writing, and writing in any genre or form, fiction and non-fiction. Poets, scriptwriters, novelists, journalists...

The writers’ session will be supported by Glasgow writer and filmmaker Michael Lee Richardson, and can be shaped to the preferences of those attending.

Michael Lee Richardson is a writer and filmmaker based in Glasgow. Their short film, My Loneliness is Killing Me – directed by Tim Courtney – won a BAFTA Scotland Award in 2018, and has been shown at film festivals around the world. Michael has film and television projects in development with a range of different production companies including their first feature, A Good Spell, with Bombito. Michael has written prose and poetry, radio drama and children’s nonfiction, and is currently writing a YA novel, The Other Team, and editing Fierce Salvage, an anthology of queer Scottish writing.
