A teller of tales – tall, historical, humorous and magical! Come along and enjoy an afternoon with our costumed storyteller in the beautiful surroundings of the Church of the Holy Rude. Suitable for families and adults.
Caroline is an Irish Artist, Storyteller and Community Education practitioner living and working in Stirling. She began her Scottish storytelling journey by joining the Storytelling Apprenticeship programme with the Scottish Storytelling Centre in Edinburgh and has been accepted onto the Scottish Directory of Professional Storytellers. She is also a member of Scottish Storytelling Forum. She has told stories to a range of audiences - from the very young to adult audiences, at community events – community gardens and educational projects, festivals – Edinburgh Climate Festival, Bruce 500 and Scottish International Storytelling Festival and on stage – The Scottish Storytelling Centre and local events in Alloa and Stirling. With a love for folklore and ancient tales, Caroline focuses predominately on Irish and Scottish tales often incorporating the Gaelic language into her telling. She believes that our ancient tales provide us with a window into what shaped our landscape and people whilst also providing some lessons for the future.
