We look forward to welcoming you to the Central Scotland School of Jewellery where we teach evening and weekend classes from our bright, open studio in Dunblane.
Our evening classes run on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday and are comprehensive courses covering all aspects of the art of jewellery making, suitable for both beginners and more experienced students who wish to refine their skills. The small class size enables each student to work on individual projects throughout the term with assistance from highly skilled tutors to provide expert one-to-one tuition. All basic jewellery techniques are covered: saw piercing, soldering, and applying texture to the metal. In addition, a selection of more specialised processes such as sand casting, stone setting, and keum-boo are taught throughout the course, as students’ individual interests and project requirements emerge. All materials are included, with the exception of silver, which can be purchased at cost at the School. The course is structured so that each student will finish the term with a piece or collection of jewellery and having added to their knowledge of jewellery making.
If you are not able to commit to a weekly class then our weekend courses cover a wide variety of jewellery skills from beginner to advanced. You will leave having created a fantastic piece of jewellery and all your materials are included in the course fee. Please see our website for details of all of our upcoming courses.
