Our stated objectives are:
to promote contemporary craft and support local craft makers
to remove barriers to participation in creative learning
to reduce social exclusion in the creative sector
to bring the provision for creative learning in rural locations in line with that available in the urban centres
Our accessible High Street venue houses studio facilities for the Central Scotland School of Craft and the Central Scotland School of Jewellery, who host an unparalleled selection of artisan workshops where you can learn silver jewellery making, weaving, printmaking, mosaics, and much much more.
Our contemporary craft gallery stocks work by local makers and the talented tutors who deliver our workshop programme.
GALLERY & GIFT SHOP:
Our contemporary craft gallery and shop offers an unparalleled selection of handmade Scottish crafts made by our network of talented artisans. All of the work in our gallery is made by hand, in Scotland by the talented tutors and creatives we work with through the craft and jewellery schools. We have gifts for every occasion, including silver jewellery, textile accessories, woven homewares, quirky ceramics, and a lovely selection of cards to go with them.
We are open for browsing and chats six days a week. Drop in and have a look around, pick up a special gift, or book yourself a workshop!
