YogaBellies Central Scotland offer boutique yoga classes for women at every stage of life, from puberty to pregnancy, with baby and beyond.
Yogabellies for Pregnancy
Lots of mummies come along to my Thursday Pre-natal Yoga class from 14 weeks until birth. Classes run in blocks of 8 at The Dunblane Centre on Thursday evenings 6.50-8.15pm.
Each class lasts an hour and 15 minutes. You will also receive a Yogabellies Birth Pack via email during your first block which includes information on Pre natal nutrition, breathing techniques & much more.
Who is this course for?
Any mum-to-be over 14 weeks pregnant.
Yogabellies Postnatal Yoga Class
YogaBellies Post Natal Yoga (Mum & Baby Yoga) is all about your BAPs: Back, Abs and Pelvic floor!
The body undergoes huge change during pregnancy and childbirth. YogaBellies for Mum and Baby is a unique post natal yoga class which focuses on mum’s three main areas of concern: the back, the abdominal muscles and the pelvic floor. We focus on rebuilding these three key areas post natally, at a pace that suits you. As the integrity of each of these key areas is interconnected, we work on all three at once to help bring back structural integrity to your body.
At YogaBellies for Mum and Baby, we don’t “put baby in the corner” while you practice yoga :) Our exclusive post natal classes also incorporate baby yoga postures for your little one too so that they can practice with mummy! As every aspect of your life will include baby now, we help you integrate baby into your yoga practice, while feeling the benefits of yoga for you too. You will also learn breath awareness and relaxation techniques, which help to increase energy levels and allow you to relax while with baby (yes it is possible!!)
YogaBelles Coreplay Yoga for Women
YogaBelles Yang Core Play sessions comprising a sequence of 19 postures with Rising Sun Salutes which tone and strengthen the body, mind and soul. We call it ‘Core Play’ because these sessions are fun but tough! The postures are practised in the same order in each class, allowing us to easily observe improvements in our practice.
YogaBelles CorePlay sessions are dynamic and build the internal fire. In these Yang classes we focus on core strengthening and engaging the bandhas or internal yogic locks, which also helps to tone the pelvic floor and abdominal muscles.
Yang yoga is the more traditional hatha asana practice that develops muscular strength, stamina, and flexibility. With it’s flowing, dynamic sequences you will tone the muscles or “yang” tissues of the body. The movement and repetition of YogaBelles Yang will help to develop muscular strength and flexibility. This practice is perfect for people looking for a more active practice to energise the mind and body.
YogaBelles Yang is a flowing, uplifting and dynamic class created for the female form and classes last from 60 minutes and are suitable for all levels, with adaptations for differing levels and needs.
Aromatherapy for Yang
When you attend a YogaBelles Yang class, you will receive a gift pack to accompany on your Yang journey. Your pack includes a JustBe Happy roller ball aromatherapy blend which includes Coconut Oil (Cocos Nucifera), Pink Grapefruit Oil (Citrus Grandis), Lime Oil (Citrus Aurantifolia) and Bergamot Oil (Citrus Bergamia).
This blend has been created to work therapeutically with our dynamic Yang classes to give your spirits a boost with the refreshing scents of Pink Grapefruit, Lime & Bergamot.
(NB:YogaBelles Classes are not suitable for pregnancy or immediate postnatal period - must be 6 months postpartum to join)
