Cineworld, the UK’s leading cinema chain, has revealed that Cineworld Edinburgh will unveil a newly introduced, fully immersive 4DX screen on Wednesday 13th December, ready to stimulate all five senses.
Located in the Fountain Park Entertainment Complex, at the heart of Edinburgh, the thirteen screen, 3,003 seat cinema already features an eye-widening IMAX screen, eleven additional cutting-edge screens, delivering crystal-clear images and a powerful digital sound system, plus a Starbucks kiosk; perfect to watch blockbuster releases Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.
The Cineworld 4DX screen in Edinburgh will offer customers the opportunity to see the latest movies from high-tech motion seats, surrounded by special effects such as wind, fog, lightning, bubbles, water and scents. 4DX is considered to be one of the biggest innovations in cinematic technology. Available in both 2D and 3D formats, 4DX works in perfect synchronicity with the action on screen, creating the most exhilarating cinema experience yet.
Lindsay Cook, Cineworld Edinburgh General Manager, said: “We’re really excited to introduce cinema goers to our new 4DX screen on the 13th December. There’s nothing like it and it can only be experienced in the UK at Cineworld. There’s a fantastic line-up of movies coming up such as Star Wars: The Last Jedi and sequel to family favourite, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, which have been perfectly adapted to suit 4DX. We cannot wait to see customers’ reactions when they try out the completely immersive experience!”
Cinema fans can take advantage of a range of offers at Cineworld Edinburgh including weekly discounted Movies for Juniors screenings for just £2 on selected weekend mornings and school holidays, as well as Student NUS discount.
