Dobbies Garden Centres are welcoming children across the UK to join in on the fun this May to uncover all there is to know about grass; how it grows, where it grows and what we grow it for, at its free Little Seedlings Club workshop.
Glorious Grass is a gardening workshop designed for children aged 4-10 years old and will take place on the morning of Sunday 4 May.
Dobbies’ Little Seedling Club offers fun and educational monthly sessions for kids across the country. These workshops involve hands-on activities where children can come together and learn about a variety of different topics in a friendly group setting.
During May’s workshop, children will learn about grass, how it grows from seeds and the importance it has on the ecosystem. The experience will cover fun grass facts, worldwide grasslands and savannahs, what types of animals make their homes in the grass and what can go wrong if the grass disappears. Children will also get to learn how to look after the garden lawn and go home with their very own grass heads to grow.
Dobbies’ Events Programme Manager, Ayesha Nickson, is looking forward to welcoming kids of all ages along to this gardening workshop. She said: “Glorious Grass is a great session for families looking for a free activity at the weekend.
“These interactive workshops bring children of all ages together to learn something new in a fun and friendly environment, with support from our knowledgeable Green Team. We can’t wait to welcome families with children to our stores, whether it is to enjoy our Little Seedlings workshops, let off steam in the soft play, or to grab a bite to eat from our children’s menu in the restaurant, especially as children can eat for £1!”
Spaces are limited and booking is required, reserve a space at www.dobbies.com/events
