The Riverside Museum is the largest museum in Scotland dedicated to transport, and houses over 3,000 objects from the city's world-famous collections. The museum was designed by Zaha Hadid Architects and opened in 2011.
The Riverside Museum is located on the banks of the River Clyde, in the heart of Glasgow's historic shipyard district. The museum's design is inspired by the city's industrial heritage, with its undulating roof and glass walls reflecting the movement of the river.
The museum's collection includes a wide range of vehicles, from steam locomotives to vintage cars to classic airplanes. There are also exhibits on the history of shipbuilding, the development of public transportation, and the role of transport in Glasgow's culture and economy.
The Riverside Museum is a popular tourist destination, and is also a great place for families with children. The museum offers a variety of interactive exhibits and educational programs, making it a fun and informative place to learn about transport.
